Welcome Home Little Sapling

It has been the longest week of our lives and, finally, the Maple's are home.  My lovely bride and our beautiful baby boy are safe and sound.  Tara faced a deeply traumatic and emotionally charged week as she fought an all out battle against HELLP Syndrome.  The moments were many where my heart dropped as her life was dangerously in the balance.  Perhaps I will never be able to express how grateful I am that she is still with me.  I will spend time putting the story together while we are at home.  Tomorrow will be our first day at home as a family and we are looking forward to spending the time together.  This amazing woman is as courageous and gentle and strong a creature as there ever existed.  She is a brilliant light that guided our baby boy to the bright path ahead of him.  I have never loved her more than I do at this very moment.  Our love to you all, thank you for pouring your love and support into our family.  Here they are, relaxing and enjoying the miracle of each other the night before we came home:

  2. Yay! So glad that you are home, now the real fun starts! Just a little advice for you Jonathan (which I am sure you are already doing!) but do as much as humanly possible for Tara these first few weeks, that was the most amazing thing that Nick did for me when we brought Zoe home; and Tara LET HIM! It is super hard but no laundry, no cooking, no grocery shopping just lay in bed and enjoy that time with Declan. Lots of love to you and your beautiful family!
