Seriously how nostalgic is the smell of vinegar and hard boiled eggs??? It's nostalgic and tolerable for about 30 minutes max. My kids felt the same way and the egg coloring lasted about that long too!
This year was the first year that we had actually let them participate in the egg dyeing...to tell you the truth I am not sure if we even did it last year...
Anyways, I told myself ahead of time "let there be a giant mess!" It actually wasn't that bad. And once Declan discovered that I had drawn a kitty face on an egg to be discovered after it was colored he didn't care about anything else. I also amped up the egg color by adding some food coloring to make the eggs a little brighter. * and the Easter Bunny left them in the fridge so they never even got hidden!
See he absolutely adored the little kitty egg! Who knew?!
All the love in the world,

LOVE that picture of Declan and the kitty egg! Such a smart idea mommy! I refused to let Mason dye eggs this year (party pooper) but I'm hoping to try next year and I will have to remember that white crayon trick!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun box you received! I love doing these swaps, and this one was especially fun!!
