This weekend we took Declan on his first camping trip, YAY!!! So fun! Both Jonathan and I have been aching to get out of Albuquerque and out of this heat. Yuck! I really enjoy Albuquerque weather for the most part...just not during the hot summer months. Especially when you have a little bruiser who gets overheated very easy and heats up his parents as well. Oh and in case you can't tell he has the prettiest palest skin...doesn't mix so well with sun.
We headed up to Vallecito Lake for a quick little trip. We stayed in a little cabin, didn't have enough time for our last minute trip to dig out the sleeping bags, tents, shade etc. Declan did great in the 4.5 hour drive up there, he slept the whole time! That is longer than he currently sleeps at a time at night...
We had such a great time! It was quite relaxing and low key, which we desperately needed. We also got to go out on my dad's boat and take Declan for his first boat trip as well!
Declan will be a natural camper as I am sure this is the first of many camping trips for your family :) So glad you guys had a fun, relaxing weekend! Love you all!
