When it comes to Neighbors - Tara and I are thankful for the bomb ass peeps that live around us.
We are thankful for our neighbors in the back - Steve and Lynn McWilliams. They are just about the sweetest and kindest folk you can find. Steve and I have worked an several projects together and the good times just roll on. They love to reflect on their many visits to France and we spend a fair amount of time just chatting over the back fence. Not only that but Steve came to my rescue when my car died last week.. Declan loves the horses and so do Lucy and Ramble.
We are thankful for our neighbors Ish and Kara are here in spirit. They've moved to Israel for the year to celebrate and explore their Jewish heritage. Kara introduced Tara to DoTerra and essential oils. As many of you know, they have completely changed our lives. We use them frequently in every day life and absolutely love them. Ish is a contractor and he has rentals as well. So, we'd talk construction and swap the occasional rental story as we were both workin' on our houses. We wish them the best on their adventures abroad and hope they return someday. Their 3 kids (the youngest Declan's age!) are adorable and add a lot of fun to the neighborhood. You never now when you'd come down the road to a sidewalk sale full of childrens books :)
Next door we have Jocelyn who works a lot! I see her almost every morning because she gets up early for a morning run.
Further down the road we have Dave and Nancy. They live next to Ish and Kara and help keep an eye on things. Dave works from home and we always enjoy talking to them as we pass on our walks.
Just up the road (toward Rio Grande) we have Elliot and Katrane. I know, cool name right?! They are always friendly and we just learned that Elliot works at our favorite Whole Foods - the one on Academy. One thing I'll have to expand on later are the many "Snakes" signs that Elliot has on his house windows.
We are thankful for all the people we meet on our walks. If we don't know you buy your name, we know you by your dogs name! Hahaha and you know us by Lucy and Ramble - the two white fluff balls that announce your coming and going when you pass our house on the trail :)
Also today thankful for little Harper bug who is celebrating her 6 month birthday today!!! Can't believe that this sweet girl is already half of a year old. You add so much love and light into our Maple world. Making little Declan giggle and smile. You, sweet girl, are going to be the balancing force with these wild boys. Blessing her beautiful mommy and awesome daddy (and Aunts and Uncles) with more joy than they could have ever imagined. I won't sing you a silly song because I am sure that your mommy sang you fabulous one! We love you!
You guys are lucky to have such awesome neighbors!!
