Day 4 - Thankful for Sundays

Happy Daylight Savings Sunday! In our house we were up at 6:00am, relatively well rested...and exhausted by 8:00am! Thankful for the extra daylight hours in the morning but sad to see our night time get even earlier.

Sundays are great for mornings as a family, giggling and playing in the kitchen and the living room. For going in to pick Declan up out of his crib together, by belly crawling into his room and peering through the crib slats to make him laugh.
Sundays are fabulous for breakfasts with friends and celebrating life. Tom, Rachel, and baby Kyle and Josh, Jane and baby Harper, all came over to have a belated birthday celebration breakfast for Jonathan. Delicious breakfast, crawling babies everywhere and lots of laughs.
Sundays are blessed with nursing Declan to sleep for his afternoon nap. Rocking peacefully in our glider and feeling the warmth of the beautiful November sun.
Sundays are peaceful. Me typing the blog, Jonathan playing on the ipad. Laundry in the washer and dryer and our little baby boy talking and cooing in his crib waking up from his nap...
Sundays are perfect for a drive across the river to Grandma's house. A time for Declan to giggle at Lucy and Ramble panting in the back. Perfect fall colors and leaves falling from the trees. Truly Albuquerque's most majestic moments.
Sundays are for face time with Auntie Kaiti in Florida, Uncle Alex too. Declan played with his toys, waved to her, and showed off his four teeth. Missing her more and more every time we get to see and talk to her.
Sundays are for creative cooking. Creating pizza on cauliflower pizza dough at Grandma's. Getting new kicks for Declan's adorable baby feet. Relaxing in her kitchen and enjoying the company.
Sundays tug at my heart strings. When on the drive back home the realization sets in that another wonderful Maple weekend is coming to a close and that tomorrow Jonathan must return to work. That the countdown till the afternoon when he gets home begins and it starts another countdown to our next weekend.
Sundays are for those sweet moments when daddy carries Declan in from the car to his bed. Sweetly asleep, head on his daddy's shoulder, at peace.
Sundays are for counting your blessings. The only way to get rich quick. Counting with ease asyou stand with your husband over your son's bed. In complete awe at this gift from God. Sweetest of dreams our precious boy. We Love You.
Sweet Dreams from the Maples!
