Day 22 - Thankful for Today

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had a beautiful and peaceful day with the friends and family. We had a nice and relaxing day spent at my Mom's. We also took a trip out to visit my brother at the fire station, got a tour of the fire house and even got a ride in the fire engine!  So today we have to say thank you to all of those people whose careers take them away from their own families on holidays to look after other families. For those of our friends and family that do have that kid of career, we thank you!
This evening we had a delicious dinner and it made my heart happy to have Melissa here to celebrate with us! We have missed her and Ryan as they have been busy busy house sitting lately. Also a happy girl because Matt and Jean came to spend the evening with us as well. We even got a few minute face time date with Kaiti, who is in Florida. It was short lived because Declan was ready for bed! Love you Kaiti!
The tryptophan is kicking in and we are exhausted after our rough night last night. Poor little sapling had his first bought of diaper rash, OUCH! It looked horrible and came out of nowhere. Pristine little baby bum one diaper change, two hours later absolutely awful. Little sapling is teething and we think that is the cause. We are thankful that he slept snugly between us for most of the night last night. Loved it, just like when he was first born. Precious.
He didn't even want to eat any of Thanksgiving dinner tonight. The only thing he ate tonight were the dinner rolls that Matt and Jean made. However, there were still lots of giggles and smiles tonight. And as always so much to be thankful for.
All of our love,
Tara
This is how we got through this morning. Snugged in the Ergo carrier on daddy's back! Poor little Declan you can tell he wasn't feeling his normal and happy self.
