Here's what today in the life of the Maple Boys looked like:
7:00 a.m -. wake up (Hooray Tara got Declan up and I got to sleep a whole 2 hours past my normal 5:00 a.m. wakeup!)
7:30 a.m. Baby breakfast - Well done egg with cheese, banana, pear, milk (mommy's), cheerios and some Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Puree, say goodbye to Tara as she leaves for class! We missed you!!
7:35 a.m - Call from work to help fix problems.
7:41 a.m -.Problems fixed *flex*
7:45 a.m. - Clean up Baby boy and 4' radius around point of eating. This 4' area is called the 'Free Fall Zone' it is where the implications of Gravity and Food are first discovered and experimented with by Declan.
7:57 a.m. - diaper change (small job)
8:00 a.m. - gather baby survival items (a-la diaper bag), dead car battery and whole box of cheerios (where was the snack container?!?)
8:05 a.m. - put Mommy's milk in warmer on low heat
8:07 a.m. - feed Declan some Cheerios, get in car and hit the road.
8:30 a.m. - arrive at Sears to exchange battery
9:00 a.m. - leave Sears, Battery covered 75% under warranty - bought new battery with 900 CCA (cold cranking amps) and a 3 year warranty for $41!!!
9:15 a.m. - feed more cheerios...also dump entire bag in car (sorry love, I tried to get most of them)
9:20 a.m. - arrive at Walmart...baby ready for nap, time to HUSTLE this Baby is gonna melt down!
9:45: a.m. - leave Walmart with goodies and head home
10:00 a.m. - get home and baby is ready to sleep. Grab milk, insert, and *wa-la* nap time!
10:20 a.m. - help neighbors with gate - 30 mins of grinding to get deadbolt and latches to work
10:45 a.m. - Install anti-vibration pads on Washer and Dryer (those things are heavy!)
11:20 a.m. - Declan wakes up and Helen Hill comes for a visit! She is an old family friend and as you can see, she held me 30.5 years ago :)
11:25 a.m. - Diaper change (BIG JOB)
11:45 a.m. - Commence Baby Lunch!
12:30 p.m. - Say goodbye to Helen (another 15mins of talking in the drive way :) and head over to Jasmine Thai for lunch!
12:50 p.m. - Lunch with my good friend Matt!! Thanks for moving the time brother!! Declan was as busy as ever but we still managed to enjoy lunch and some great company. Matt and I are always into mischief at Camp E and other sorts of things.
1:45 p.m. - When we left Jasmine Thai I was hoping to meet my friend Josh at Walmart at 2:00 p.m. for a run in the bosque. It didn't happen, but I'm glad we tried! Our afternoon workouts are one of the best parts of my days!
2:00 p.m. - Head to Costco instead, get Dog Food, pants and some other stuff.
2:20 p.m. - Gas up!
2:30 p.m. Grab drycleaning, get home, laundry, diaper change
2:35 p.m - My Mechanic- Wayne Jumawan - comes over so we can talk about my engine rebuild. It's a BIG Job.
***Declan doesn't want to sleep! He slept for only 20 mins in the car!!***
3:30 p.m. - Was hoping to meet with my good neighbor Steve to celebrate a recent Tree Removal project we did together. Sadly, that didn't happen as Declan napping was my window of opportunity. Next time!
4:00 p.m. - Tara comes home! Wayne and I finish up and make a plan for moving forward. My 4runner is out of commission until December 5th :( But when it's done, it'll be better than new!.
4:30 p.m. - Dinner and Tara starts hydrating - after lats week she needed some TLC so I sent her to Betty's Bath for a 5:30 massage.
5:15 p.m. - Tara leaves for massage.
5:35 p.m - BATH TIME!! Woot!
6:00 p.m. - 4oz of milk and instead of winding down...we wind up! Lot's of playing and chasing around the house. Last of the laundry is done and some additional post construction cleanup.
6:50 p.m. - Tara gets home from her massage! Yayyy!!! Hugs and kisses for everyone, she smells yummy. Like the spa. Declan crawls with excitement!
7:15 p.m. - She feeds Declan and puts him to sleep.
8:00 p.m. - Call from my buddy T.J. with great news and successes!
8:20 p.m. - A bit of couch time with Tara as she finished watching Grey's Anatomy.
9:22 pm. - current time and *eek* way past my bedtime!
What a wonderful day - I am thankful for every last second!!
